BuzzTCG is not open to the public. Here is exactly how membership works, who we approve, and what you gain access to.
What happens when you apply
Tell us about your collection
The application asks about what you collect, how long you have been in the hobby, and what you are looking for as a buyer. There is no trick to it — we want to understand how you shop, not quiz you. The form takes a few minutes to complete.
We review your request
Every application is read by the BuzzTCG team — not an algorithm. We are looking for collectors who buy with intention. That means people who understand grades, know their player windows, and approach the hobby as more than a flipping opportunity. Approval is selective because the buying environment depends on it.
Access unlocked
Approved members receive access to the private shop. You can browse the full curated catalog, view card details and condition notes, and purchase through the secure Shopify checkout — the same platform powering the BuzzTCG catalog on eBay and Whatnot.
What makes a strong application
You collect with a point of view
You know what you are building — a player collection, a set, a grade run — and you buy toward it.
You understand grades and condition
PSA, BGS, SGC — you know the difference, you read condition notes, and you do not impulse-buy on raw cards.
You are a buyer, not a bot
BuzzTCG has no place for automated buyers, bulk-flip accounts, or resellers who strip inventory before collectors can reach it.
You are in it for the long haul
The best collector communities are built by people who return — who build watchlists, who know what they missed and why. We want members who stay.
The shop is gated. The catalog is real.
Non-members cannot browse the product catalog — that is intentional. The buying environment is the product. The same inventory is also available through BuzzTCG's eBay and Whatnot storefronts, both sourced from the same vetted catalog.
Common questions
- Is BuzzTCG completely closed to the public?
- Yes. Non-members cannot browse the product catalog or make purchases. The shop is gated behind an approved membership. You can still view the public site, learn about BuzzTCG, and submit an application — but the buying experience is members-only by design.
- How long does the application review take?
- Applications are reviewed by the BuzzTCG team directly. We do not use automated approval. Review times vary, but we aim to respond to every application. If you have not heard back and have questions, reach us through the contact page.
- Can I be declined? What happens if I am?
- Yes. Approval is selective — that is the point. If your application is not approved at this time, it is not permanent. The membership criteria focus on buying intent and collector knowledge. You are welcome to apply again.
- Is BuzzTCG only for high-grade or high-value cards?
- Not exclusively. BuzzTCG curates across grades and price points — what matters is that every card meets the curation standard: the condition is accurately represented, the listing is honest, and the card is worth the collector's time to consider.
- How does checkout work? Is it through BuzzTCG's own system?
- The BuzzTCG catalog is powered by Shopify behind the scenes. Checkout is handled by Shopify's secure hosted checkout — the same platform used for BuzzTCG's eBay and Whatnot storefronts. You are not handing your payment details to an unproven system.
- Does BuzzTCG list on eBay and Whatnot too?
- Yes. The same vetted catalog that populates the members-only shop also syncs to BuzzTCG's eBay and Whatnot storefronts. The curation standards are identical — the same cards, the same quality bar, across every platform where BuzzTCG sells.
